The Jinn whispers post-truths into president's ear. 29x29 cm, 2017, ink and watercolour on paper. Sold as part of Gaza Fundraising Dinner & Art Auction in Sydney, Australia (28 November 2023).
This work was made after Donald Trump was elected President of the United States and in the wake of the introduction of the terms "fake news" and "post-truth" into the lexicon. It is a humorous take on the possible source of the former president's delusions of grandeur and tongue-in-cheek reclamation of the Disney-ified Genie as a menacing and haunting supernatural being from the East.
